Music is more than learning notes and techniques. It is a journey of developing confidence, concentration, creativity and self-expression.
As a Suzuki piano teacher with extensive experience in music education, I believe that every child can learn and grow when they are supported in the right way. Inspired by Dr Shinichi Suzuki's philosophy of "Every Child Can", I focus not only on musical development but also on helping students build confidence, independence, and a positive relationship with learning.
I offer Suzuki piano lessons for children aged 4 and above, supporting students from a wide range of backgrounds, abilities and learning styles. Over the years, I have worked with neurotypical and neurodivergent students, young children, teenagers and adults, adapting my teaching approach to meet each individual's needs.
Building a strong and trusting relationship with students and families is at the heart of my teaching. I take time to understand each learner—their personality, strengths, challenges and goals—so that lessons become a positive and encouraging experience.
Through music, students can develop:
Whether a student hopes to pursue music further or simply wishes to enjoy playing for life, my aim is to help each individual discover their own musical voice and experience the joy of learning.
